Dirty Coin is an independently produced and directed documentary by Alana Mediavilla. We are making good headway with private investors and sponsors to fund the film, but big investments are often (understandably) slow and we have some great opportunities coming up that we need to fund quickly!
Your support however large or small will help fund new interviews and the animation work we need to get started now in order to meet our timelines for distribution.
We are raising a total of $650,000 for the project but need this $50,000 to make sure we don't lose our momentum and can continue to film during these key conferences that will give us access to multiple important people for the film.
In May 2023 we will be throwing a first-look party in Miami during the Bitcoin conference and will invite all of the supporters of the film. Your donation will earn you a place at the party!

Alana Mediavilla is an award-winning producer and director that has been producing tech documentaries for the world's top companies and was a producer and director working at Google for almost 5 years producing short documentaries about AI, ML, data centers, and the future interaction between man and machine. She quit to pursue her own independent film journey and decided to make proof of work the subject of her first original, feature documentary.

A keyframe is a stylized illustration for an animated scene or advertising asset. The illustrations could be part of a technical demo or a part of the story. Your donation will go towards producing a keyframe and we'll send you a printed copy of the final piece plus your name in the credits as a contributor.
Shoot days are long and we know a well fed crew is a happy crew. Your donation helps pay for the meals and coffee while we're scouting locations to film, on actual shoot days, or coffee while we sort through footage.Your contribution earns you a selfie posted on social media with the food we got with your funds plus your name in the credits of the film supporting our nourishment!
Alana has been writing in the third person for a few months now and needs a drink. She is passionate about Bitcoin, the freedom it brings to the people of Earth, and giving proof of work the positive mainstream attention it deserves. She's been working on this project using her own funds and resources to get it off the ground and any donation you send her will go towards the film - even if it's a well-deserved, post-shoot drink! We are recording all over the world and the cost of production fluctuates between locations. We record at least three interviews per shoot day so your contribution secures three more experts to be included in the film. Your contribution will earn you a credit plus a social media mention when we publish the clips letting the world know that you made that interview happen.Feel free to reach out if you'd also like to facilitate an introduction to someone we should record.
The film is going to have at least 5 animations in the film. We first need to storyboard the animation, get it validated by several subject matter experts, revised and then ready for key illustrations. Your contribution gets a storyboard complete and as part of your donation, we'll include you in the credits of the film and also send you a printed version of the final storyboard you help fund.
